Assistant Store Manager – Vision Express

Role Overview

As an Assistant Store Manager at Vision Express, you’ll support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including:

  • Managing the team
  • Ensuring excellent customer service
  • Driving sales targets
  • Maintaining high standards in visual merchandising and store presentation
  • Handling administrative duties such as stock ordering, cash management, and reporting

You’ll also play a key role in fostering a positive and productive work environment to help the store meet business objectives. At Vision Express, our mission is to empower customers to “See More and Be More” by providing tailored and effective eyecare and eyewear solutions tailored to maximise visual potential and enhance lifestyle.

This role offers flexible working options—whether you prefer compressed hours for school runs or a structured schedule, we’re happy to discuss arrangements.

Who Is the Perfect Candidate?

The ideal Assistant Store Manager will demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership & management skills to guide and support colleagues
  • Exceptional communication to explain professional terms in clear, customer-friendly language
  • Attention to detail for accurate customer records, prescriptions, and service delivery
  • Collaboration with Eye Care Professionals, Optical Assistants, and other store teams
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in fast-paced retail environments
  • Confidence, passion, drive, and enthusiasm

Additionally, you’ll:

  • Monitor & analyse sales performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Train and coach employees to uphold excellence and achieve shared mission goals
