We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to collaboratively drive the success of our store alongside the Store Manager. This role focuses on leading daily operations, fostering a motivated team environment, and ensuring every customer experience reflects the Mountain Warehouse brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Partner with the Store Manager to lead a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and shared goals.
- Drive training and development, empowering staff to excel and grow.
- Maintain clear, transparent communication to ensure alignment and trust across the team.
- Equip the team with product knowledge to deliver outstanding customer service.

Operational Excellence
- Assist in daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain high visual merchandising and housekeeping standards for an enhanced shopping experience.
- Prioritise health and safety, conducting risk assessments for a secure environment for staff and customers.
- Actively participate in recruitment and retention of top talent to strengthen the team.
Sales & Performance
- Support sales targets, driving profitability through strategic initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs to track and sustain store success.
- Oversee stock levels, ensuring smooth replenishment and accurate delivery management.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to protect store profitability.
Customer Experience
- Set an example with exceptional customer service.
- Address customer feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction and brand loyalty.
- Represent Mountain Warehouse with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Build community connections, creating a welcoming and engaging shopping atmosphere.
