Assistant Store Manager – Bedford Area
We have some amazing opportunities for Assistant Store Managers to join our growing teams across Bedford.
About the Role
As an Assistant Store Manager at Aldi, you’ll need:

You’ll thrive in a target-driven environment, taking responsibility for managing your team while maintaining high store standards and controlling costs. Your goal? Achieve the highest sales possible—no matter what it takes. More than just driving performance, you’ll create a efficient, cooperative, and high-performing team delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee management, development, and people performance
- Operational decision-making: Short/long-term business strategies
- Ensuring consistently high standards in customer service
- Strong leadership and due diligence
- Motivating employees to push for excellence and results
- Cost minimisation and productivity optimisation
- Managing store finances, costs, and sales
- Frequent communication with the Area Manager to maximise sales development, stock control, and financial performance

What You'll Earn
- Starting salary: £38,525 (rising to £45,420 after 4 years) *(Pro-rata for 32, 36, and 40-hour contracts)
Work & Leave Benefits
- Flexible contracts:
- 32/36/40-hour contracts (4 days a week)
- 40/45-hour contracts (5 days, including weekends)
- 4 weeks annual leave + bank holidays (rising to 5 weeks after 2 years)
