Assistant Store Manager – Glasgow Fort
We are hiring for an Assistant Store Manager to join one of our exciting stores based in Glasgow Fort.
There’s an established team in place, and you will be working directly with them to help create the best customer shopping experience possible. Footasylum is a business that believes in our front-end retail staff.
About the Role
An Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager with the store’s day-to-day responsibilities. You will take on managerial tasks such as:
- Overseeing employees
- Modelling effective leadership
- Providing excellent customer service
A primary responsibility of an Assistant Manager is to carry out the Manager’s role in their absence. This role will essentially train you in Store Manager duties, offering clear progression opportunities.

About You
We are looking for someone passionate about fashion retail who aligns with our company values. The ideal Assistant Store Manager will bring:
- Proven retail experience, ideally in a managerial role, within a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Adaptability to thrive under pressure and manage shifting priorities
- Top-notch organisation and a customer-first mindset
- Deep knowledge of the fashion industry and current trends
