Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Store Manager to support the day-to-day running of our Camden store. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure high standards of customer service, team performance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient running
- Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management
- Ensure store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising meet company standards
- Monitor compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
- The expectation of this role is for the successful candidate to be shopfloor focussed at all times and present on the shopfloor.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, motivate, and support store staff
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, merchandising changes and performance management (where appropriate)
- Lead by example to create a positive and productive working environment

Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries or complaints professionally
- Ensure all members of the store team provide a friendly and helpful shopping experience
- Ensure all members of the team actively encourage loyalty sign up and add on sales at every available transaction
- Ensure the food served is at its optimal quality and all food safety controls are adhered to
- Ensure the speed of service for food and hot drinks expectation is upheld at all times
- Ensure all Customers are greeted within 5 seconds of entry to the shop and served within 20 seconds of entering the shop
Sales & Performance
- Support achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Assist identifying opportunities to improve performance
- Help implement promotions and in-store displays

Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in a retail and/or Hospitality environment
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
Desirable
- Experience in stock management or merchandising
- Knowledge of UK food safety regulations
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
