Assistant Store Manager (Retail)
About the Role
As an Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. You will play an important role within your store, working closely with the Store Manager, to create and deliver the commercial plan to help the business grow and thrive.
Working across the whole store, your days will be varied and engaging. You will be involved in everything from customer service, store operations as well as clinical activities, including:
- Patient pre-screening
- Dispensing
- Accuracy checks
- And much more
You will manage a team with diverse experience and clinical knowledge, offering the opportunity to help them develop their skills, expertise, and shape their career trajectories. This also includes completing essential management tasks such as:
- Creating and maintaining rotas
- Return-to-work reviews
- Performance management
We will support your professional growth through our industry-leading “Step into Optics” training programme, helping you develop your clinical knowledge. What You’ll Need to Have
- Experience working in a customer-facing role
- A desire to learn
- Proven ability to lead or coach a team

- Experience working in a clinical environment
