Assistant Stores Person

Salary: £32,591 + excellent benefits
Location: Chesham, with travel across our office locations
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Working pattern: On-site, 5 days per week

At SettleParadigm, we look after more than 30,000 homes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties. Our purpose is simple - safe homes, good services and neighbourhoods people feel proud of. Through our merger, we’ve brought together shared values, skills and ambition, helping us build more affordable homes and make an even bigger difference in the communities we serve.

Our Stores team plays a key role in supporting our technicians, fleet operations and wider Property Services teams. We’re now looking for an Assistant Stores Person to help keep our Chesham Stores running smoothly and ensure colleagues have the tools, materials and equipment they need to deliver great service.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, practical role based at our Chesham Stores, with regular travel to other SettleParadigm locations. You’ll work closely with our Stores Person to keep the stores organised, support technicians, manage stock, and help maintain a safe working environment.

You’ll also support our Fleet team with minor vehicle repairs and vehicle movements, assist with ordering and delivering materials, and act as a keyholder responsible for opening and closing the building.

If you enjoy practical work, like keeping things organised and want a role where you’re supporting colleagues every day, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting stores operations, helping improve processes and providing a friendly, professional service to technicians
  • Maintaining a clean and organised site at Chesham, including regular checks at Travis Perkins
  • Ordering and managing stock, parts, materials, tools and uniform
  • Collecting and delivering materials when required
  • Supporting fleet operations, minor repairs (mirrors, lenses, bulbs) and vehicle pick-ups/deliveries
  • Acting as a keyholder, opening and closing the building
  • Maintaining safety records, PAT testing, ladder testing, harness checks and fire alarm testing
  • Keeping accurate stock and safety documentation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
