Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Administrative Duties
- Assist the Program Supervisor in planning staffing logistics and maintaining coverage, including managing schedules.
- Support the organization of food, household, and recreation line items in the BHS budget.
- Execute emergency coverage for the Behavior Health Services (BHS) program in the absence of the Program Supervisor.
Supervisory & Support Role
- Ensure therapeutically supervised service delivery in alignment with agency philosophies and regulatory requirements (federal, state, and local).
- Oversee the implementation of person-centered treatment plans, behavior plans, and coordination of medical and clinical services, including medication management.
- Provide direct supervision to DSP/RBT staff, acting as a role model, mentor, and source of guidance.
Recruitment & Staff Management
- Assist with hiring processes, including interviews and selecting qualified staff tailored to program needs.

Quality Assurance & Academic Outcomes
- Conduct performance evaluations to ensure high-quality service provision through ongoing supervision and observation.
Administrator-on-Call & Crisis Response
- Serve as Administrator-on-Call (AOC), providing program support as needed to ensure rapid response.
Transition Navigator (BHS)
As the primary Transition Navigator, you will lead discharge planning and facilitate successful transitions for all BHS Home residents. Key tasks include:
- Coordinating admissions and discharges, establishing and monitoring support networks and required services.
- Arranging psychiatric and medical assessments while accessing appropriate clinical providers.
- Conducting daily check-ins with home staff to assess progress and gather updates for transition planning.
- Facilitating weekly treatment team meetings to ensure sustainable support systems post-discharge.
- Documenting meetings, milestones, and discharge plans, including follow-up milestones post-transition.
- Establishment of community-based support arrangements, ensuring continuity of care and ongoing communication at scheduled intervals.
Requirements
- Preferred: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Preferred: Background in behavioral health, social work, or case management.
- Must possess strong management skills to lead, motivate, and mentor a team.
- Must demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills to foster positive interactions with clients, families, and staff.
- Must be passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and committed to person-centered care.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Clifton, NJ.
