Assistant Survey Manager
Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire
Salary: Competitive + Benefits + Clear Progression
Ready to take the next step in your surveying career?
We're looking for an experienced Surveyor who wants to move beyond day-to-day site work and into a technical leadership role within one of the North West's leading surveying companies.
This is a predominantly office-based position, working alongside our Survey Manager to maintain and continually improve the quality, consistency, and technical standards of our surveying department.
While occasional site visits will be required for project reviews, technical support, and quality inspections, the role is focused on technical oversight, quality assurance, mentoring, and delivering excellence across the business rather than undertaking routine survey work.
For the right individual, this role provides a structured pathway towards becoming an Assistant Technical Survey Manager as our business continues to grow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
