Assistant Regional Operations Manager
The role of the Assistant Regional Operations Manager is to support the Regional Operations Manager in the effective running of the regional office. You would be working with the Regional Operations Manager in overseeing and coordinating survey operations.
This role involves assisting with the management of survey projects, ensuring quality control, supervising field staff, and managing large projects. This would include but not limited to administrative tasks, data management, RAMS preparation, site audits, sub-contractor relations, and client communication to ensure surveys are completed accurately and on time. You will also provide holiday and absentee cover whilst the manager is away from the office.
On larger commissions the Assistant Manager would be expected to take the lead as the PM supported by the Regional Operations Manager.
The Assistant Manager will be presentable and represent the company in a professional manner, ensuring the implementation of Survey Solutions' working practices and promoting company values are promoted. You will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

To be considered for this role you must have worked as a Senior Land Surveyor in a previous role and have extensive experience of managing surveying teams.
Requirements
Main Duties/Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Act as Project Manager on complex projects from initiation to completion and lead the planning, coordination, and execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities between field teams, data collectors, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Oversee data collection processes and maintain operational integrity throughout project lifecycles.
- Expected to assume full managerial responsibilities during Regional Operations Manager absences.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop field staff, surveyors, and data collection teams.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Lead on H & S with the team, conduct toolbox talks, PPE audits, site compliance, and maintain the high standards expected.

Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure strict compliance with all company's operational processes and procedures, including all health & safety procedures.
- Uphold the company's commitment to data integrity, environmental responsibility, diversity, equality, bullying, staff welfare, brand awareness, and ethical business practices.
- Oversee data collection processes and maintain data integrity throughout project lifecycle.
- Must hold industry-recognized certifications as specified by the company.
Survey Implementation
- Participate in survey equipment testing, piloting, and validation processes.
- Review and refine survey procedures based on field feedback and project requirements.
