Description
We are hiring for an Assistant Technical Developer to join our product team!
The Assistant Technical Developer supports the technical development of the Adanola product, striving for continuous product elevation. The Assistant Technical Developer is involved from initial sketch through to bulk production. Striving for product excellence at each product milestone in fit, performance, construction, and quality. Supporting the Technical team, partnering daily with Buying, Merchandising, and Design teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support’s the Technical Team in managing technical development from initial prototype to production.
- Review samples for fit, construction, and quality.
- Attend fit sessions and accurately record fit comments for communication to suppliers.
- Assist in the preparation, checking, and updating of technical packs (workbooks) with accurate measurements, construction details, and specifications.
- Supports the production process by reviewing size sets, pre-production, and shipment samples.
- Liaise cross-functionally with design, buying, and merchandising teams within the development process.
- Assist with fabric and garment testing processes, ensuring compliance with brand and industry standards.

Fit & Quality Management
- Supports during fit sessions on live models and mannequins, providing technical feedback.
- Evaluate samples (development, size sets, pre-production, and shipment) for fit, make, and quality.
- Supports Technical Team with brand quality standards, legal requirements, and safety regulations.
- Helps identify and resolve technical issues relating to fit, fabric performance, or garment construction.
Technical Development
- The Assistant Technical Developer assists in creating reviews, and updating workbooks, ensuring accurate specifications, measurements, and construction details.
- Creates BOM’s from proto to production with the support of the Technical Development team.
- Foundation level understanding of fabric properties and performance qualities.
- Ad Hoc tasks such as meeting preparation, analysis, and supporting business projects related to product, process, and business requirements.
About you
- Degree or diploma in Fashion Technology, Garment Technology, Textiles, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong understanding of garment construction and pattern cutting.
- Foundation level understanding of fabric properties and performance qualities.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong measurement and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and internal team coordination.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with PLM systems is a plus.
- Ability to work to deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- A proactive approach with eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise.
