Assistant Technical Live Events Manager
Location: London
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 + Benefits Package
Our client is a leading event production provider who are looking for an Assistant Technical Events Manager to assist as the technical and commercial interface between clients and a prestigious hotel / venue.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role combining AV technical expertise, account management, and sales leadership. You’ll own the end-to-end technical delivery of conferences and events, ensuring outstanding service and identifying opportunities to grow revenue.

What you’ll be doing
- Be one of the main technical point of contact for venue clients from enquiry to event delivery
- Design, prepare, rig, and de-rig AV solutions alongside technicians
- Proactively engage clients pre-event to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
- Build standard event designs and visuals to help clients envision their events
- Maximise revenue through upselling production, video, and technical services
- Maintain strong relationships with hotel sales, banqueting, and front-of-house teams
- Manage sales files, reporting, capture rate discussions, and client feedback
- Create systems to track equipment movements, quotations, and turnover
- Support tender processes and large-scale events
- Lead, schedule, and delegate effectively to on-site technicians

What we’re looking for
- Strong background in AV / technical event production
- Proven experience in a venue-based technical or events management role
- Commercial mindset with a track record of upselling services
- Excellent organisation, communication, and client management skills
- Comfortable leading technicians and working on live events
