About the role
We’re looking for a motivated Assistant to Procurement / Admin to help coordinate quotes and jobs for on‑site work across the UK. You’ll be the link between our operations team and the companies we work with, making sure we always have fast, accurate quotes and clean tracking so jobs move smoothly from enquiry to completed work.
This is a full‑time entry‑level role. No previous experience is required — full training is provided — but you do need to be organised and willing to work hard.
What you’ll do
- Call companies (e.g. contractors, trades, service providers) to request and follow up on quotes for on‑site work.
- Send and reply to emails with quote requests, clarifications and updates.
- Collect, organise and input quote details into tracking sheets (Google Sheets).
- Keep all tracking sheets up to date: status, prices, dates, contact info and job notes.
- Chase missing information or delayed responses to ensure we always have a complete picture.
- Communicate clearly with the operations team when quotes are received, approved or need changes.
- Follow a simple process/checklist so every job is logged correctly and nothing gets missed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
