Job Description

Are you looking for a summer placement where your passion for science could help to advance structural chemistry globally? The Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre is looking for full-time paid assistants to join their Data and Community Team in the UK during the summer (starting June) for 10 weeks. The successful applicants will be responsible for a variety of tasks including typing up legacy data into the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD), working to improve the CSD and creating new educational resources for our users.

Qualifications Required

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A passion for science alongside high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills would be an advantage alongside a solid working knowledge of standard Microsoft software.
  • Chemical knowledge and an interest in chemistry.
  • Ideally, applicants should be studying for, or have a degree in, chemistry or the equivalent.
