Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Underwriter to support our underwriting team in assessing risk and administering insurance policies.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or further develop a career within the insurance industry.
Fluency in Italian is essential, as the role involves communication with Italian-speaking clients or partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist underwriters in evaluating insurance applications and assessing risk exposure.
- Prepare and review policy documentation, endorsements, and renewals.
- Liaise with brokers, clients, and internal teams to gather necessary information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within underwriting systems.
- Support the underwriting process by analysing data and producing reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and underwriting guidelines.
- Handle general administrative duties related to underwriting operations.
- Provide excellent customer service, including responding to queries in a timely manner.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Italian (spoken and written).
Desirable (Non-Essential) Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in the insurance industry or underwriting environment.
- Understanding of insurance principles and risk assessment.
- Experience working with underwriting systems or databases.
