The salary includes an amount for a market supplement of £1870.00 per year. This market supplement is reviewed annually.

We are recruiting for an Assistant Valuer to assist in providing our professional estate management service of all accommodation, land and property issues on our behalf of the Council.
The role is varied from preparing estimates to keeping up to date with current and upcoming legislation. You will be managing and making best use of our assets, maintaining electronic records and providing technical support to our Estates Team. You'll need effective communication and organisational skills and be good at negotiation.

Essential:
- Effective communication skills and negotiating skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised to a good quality.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with competing demands.
As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
Knowledge
Essential:
- An understanding of relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge and experience of general property matters.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Contributing successfully to effective team working.
- Degree and / or Associate Membership of RICS or relevant qualification.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
