Assistant Vice President Business Management - EMEA Operations
MUFG, one of the world’s leading financial groups with a rich heritage spanning over 350 years, is seeking an Assistant Vice President Business Management to join their EMEA Operations team in London.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate across EMEA Operations to ensure key policy and procedure documents such as Business Continuity plans, internal organisation charts, and policy documents are consistently updated and maintained.
- Establish and manage the Operations Balanced Scorecard (BSC), aligning KPIs with local, regional, and global targets while monitoring results and developing action plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop presentation materials articulating high-level initiatives for various audiences including Town Halls and Senior Executives, ensuring clear communication of strategic objectives.
- Lead projects representing EMEA Operations in wider programmes, acting as a dependable point of contact for cross-functional collaboration.
- Analyse current operational processes to identify areas for improvement, implementing enhancements that boost productivity and reduce costs.
- Support cost control management by tracking expenses, reporting accurately, and constructively challenging costs to optimise resource allocation.
- Enhance and roll out the Skills Matrix across Operations, ensuring staff capabilities are mapped effectively for ongoing development.
- Maintain and update Operations’ Intranet pages so information remains accurate and accessible for all users.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to identify relevant performance and risk indicators (both quantitative and qualitative) for producing high-level management reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain effective PowerBI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights from complex data sets.

What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience working within regulated environments or organisationally complex settings—ideally within financial services—ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive approach combined with motivation to learn new concepts quickly; readiness to engage fully in all activities required for successful delivery of responsibilities.
- Agility in adapting calmly under pressure within fast-paced environments; capacity to manage large workloads efficiently while prioritising tasks against tight deadlines.
- Strong sense of accountability paired with outstanding organisational skills; focus on delivering consistently high-quality output with meticulous attention to detail.
- Discretion when handling sensitive matters; ability to exercise sound judgement in maintaining confidentiality across dual entities (MUFG Bank & MUFG Securities EMEA plc).
- Experience in data analysis with particular expertise in PowerBI; adept at analysing complex datasets to extract trends and actionable insights.
- Excellent analytical thinking coupled with critical problem-solving skills; able to present data-driven insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Word for effective reporting and presentation creation.
- Adaptability and flexibility suited to evolving business needs—including minimum three days per week onsite—while aligning with MUFG’s values: Integrity & Responsibility; Professionalism & Teamwork; Challenge Ourselves To Grow.
