Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions | Temple University
Department of Enrollment Management
Temple University’s Department of Enrollment Management is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Undergraduate Admissions to lead strategic recruitment, enforcement operations, and enrollment initiatives.
About the Role
The AVP for Undergraduate Admissions will provide strategic leadership in developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract, admit, and enroll a diverse and high-performing student body, including transfer students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and aligning enrollment goals with institutional strategy.
- Optimising recruitment processes (e.g., admissions operations, CRM systems like SLATE, emerging tech such as AI).
- Building and leading a high-performing team with data-driven decision-making.
- Ensuring seamless collaboration with financial aid, IT, academic supervisors, and external stakeholders.
- Developing and executing TIUitions tuition remission policies accessible to qualified dependents by recommendation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Enrollment Leadership
- Collaborate with the Vice President for Enrollment Management to refine Temple University’s comprehensive strategic enrollment plan.
- Spearhead recruitment efforts that align with long-term institutional objectives and values.
Admissions Management
- Oversee domestic, international, and transfer admissions processes, including application pipelines and CRM data management.
- Leverage territory segmentation and best practices to hit enrollment targets.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
- Streamline college admission operations and adopt emerging technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, predictive analytics) for efficient regional recruitment/admission.

Team & Stakeholder Relations
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing admissions team.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration with academic affairs, student affairs, finance, and IT.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to fine-tune policies, defining program negotiations externally.
Compliance & Policy
- Ensure efficient processes align with Temple’s compliance precedents (e.g. NCAA, education law).
- Achieve full awareness of the university Annual Report on Safety issues in reviewing University Departments.
Job Location & Working Arrangement
- Hybrid: Primarily on campus (assignment to work from home up to discretion of University and department).
- Requires successful completion of background screening and a drug test.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a higher education or enrollment field (e.g. enrollment management, admissions, associated administrative studies).
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience in leadership roles focused on higher education enrollment/or admissions operations.
- Experience with medium/large-scale institutions is highly preferred.
Equivalent combination of education/experience can be considered.

✔ Mastery of admission strategies, enrollment forecasting tools, and data-driven decision making.

✔ Admissions knowledge aligning with advanced outreach for MMC agencies and national selection criteria.
✔ Strong record of networking, territory building, financial aid management (especially net revenue models) and aid administration.
✔ Deep communication and analytical skills to facilitate relationships across departments.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree + 7+ years in related university enrollment with valid application licensing. For special issues, contact compliance or department-specific licensing officials.
Salary Range
$130,000 - $150,000 (fully negotiable subject to market conditions).
