Assistant Warehouse Manager
Assistant Warehouse Manager Crawley, West Sussex
About the Role Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a customer-facing role responsible for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and delivering garage doors across the South East and Midlands areas. The primary duties include ensuring warehouse logistics, vehicle loading/unloading, trade counter assistance, and handling stock management.
Key responsibilities cover:
Responsibilities
- Vehicle Loading/Unloading
- Checking vehicles are correctly loaded with the proper doors/spare parts.
- Independently unloading garage doors/spares (customers may not always be present).
- Leading team-based vehicle loading for the next day’s deliveries.
- Warehouse Operations
- Supporting pick-and-pack duties during busy trading periods.
- Using courier systems for dispatch accuracy.
- Managing stock control, door rotations, and inventory prep.
- Assisting with larger delivery movements and logistical coordination.
- Trade & Customer Service
- Handling new product enquiries and customer despatches.
- Providing detailed product information and after-sales support.
- Warehouse Maintenance & Administration
- Overseeing warehouse operations as a key holder in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
- Performing general duties (cleaning, van maintenance).
- Accurate use of Sage warehouse systems.
- Assisting in vehicle delivery logistics across South East and Midlands.

Hours Monday–Friday: 7:30am–5:00pm
Essential Skills/Competencies
- Dedicated driving licence ( max 3 penalty points acceptable ).
- Experience in warehouse operations and forklift use.
- Familiarity with delivering goods across the South East.
- Strong communication skills (ability to engage with customers and team).
- Physically fit; capable of heavy lifting.
- Independent mindset alongside teamwork ability.
- Trustworthy with commitment to quality control.
