About The Role
We are looking for a Junior CAD Design Engineer to join our team in Siltbuster, based in Monmouth. This role will assist with the design, manufacture and development of water and effluent treatment systems across the Siltbuster Group.
Role Responsibilities
- Produce and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings under the guidance of experienced engineers, ensuring drawings are accurate and comply with company standards.
- Assist with the design and development of new and existing water and effluent treatment equipment and systems.
- Support the preparation of engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, fabrication drawings and supporting design information.
- Assist with site surveys and inspections to gather information for design development and verify installation or fabrication requirements.
- Support senior engineers in developing layouts, equipment arrangements and general engineering solutions for projects.
- Learn to interpret engineering drawings, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), specifications and customer requirements.
- Assist in maintaining drawing revisions, document control and engineering records in accordance with company procedures.
- Liaise with workshop, fabrication, procurement and project teams to help ensure engineering information is complete, accurate and issued on time.

Qualifications And Skills
- HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Product Design or a related engineering discipline.
- Alternatively, completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship with relevant CAD experience.
- Some experience using 2D and/or 3D CAD software through education, an apprenticeship, placement or previous employment, preferably SolidWorks
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
- Understanding of ISO 14001 and 9001:2015 standards and appropriate Health, Safety environmental legislation
- Some understanding on process commissioning
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem solving
- Able to work under own supervision and as part of a team
