We are looking for a defendant personal injury solicitor in our Belfast office
With Motor, EL/PL and industrial disease experience to join our growing team.
The team advises on a broad range of defendant product liability, EL/PL/Motor, clinical, marine, catastrophic, as well as reinsurance and professional negligence for a variety of national and international insurers. Kennedys has an enviable reputation and the skills required to service this increasingly complex market.
Kennedys has a hybrid working policy, which offers a good mix of opportunities for working from home and in the office.
Team
Kennedys' Northern Ireland office in Belfast is the only pure litigation practice in the jurisdiction with a focus on the insurance industry, advising on coverage, defence and recovery matters.
- We advise on regulatory matters
- Defend clients in health and safety prosecutions and appear at coronial inquiries
- Defend liability actions from catastrophic claims to everyday employers' and public liability, and road traffic accident claims
- Provide expert advice on professional negligence matters within financial services, construction (architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors), healthcare (medical facilities and professionals), real estate and insurance (brokers) and employment law.
Cases
The team act for insurers on a full range of claims and also advises on coverage issues arising in personal injury matters as well as in defence.
- Providing coverage and claims defence to both international and domestic insurers and their insureds
- In particular, we advise on professional liability, financial institutions' liability, directors & officers liability.
REQUIRED Experience
- 1-3 years' Northern Irish qualified lawyer with Insurance law experience
- To be proactive and take initiative
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills
- Strong technical and research skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage a busy caseload of low to medium value claims and to work with senior solicitors on high value claims.
