Associate
Employment Solicitor – The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join Stone King’s highly respected Employment team, offering the chance to work with a diverse client base while developing your expertise within a nationally recognised practice.
As an Employment Solicitor, you’ll play a key role in advising clients on a broad range of employment law matters, supporting organisations across the sectors that Stone King is renowned for serving.
If you're a qualified solicitor with experience managing your own employment law caseload and are looking to further develop your career within a supportive and collaborative environment, this could be the perfect next step.
We're seeking someone who combines strong technical ability with excellent client care skills, and a genuine passion for delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with specialists across the firm, supporting clients through complex employment challenges, while helping build long-standing and trusted client relationships. Based in our Leeds office, this role offers hybrid working.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing employment law advice and support to a wide range of clients.
- Managing your own caseload, with support and supervision where appropriate.
- Reviewing, drafting, and advising on policies, handbooks, contracts of employment and other employment-related documentation.
- Advising clients on disciplinary, grievance, and workplace procedures.
- Supporting organisations through TUPE processes and organisational change.
- Advising on equality and discrimination matters, including disability, age, religion or belief, and sex discrimination.
- Assisting with workplace disputes, termination negotiations, and settlement agreements.
- Preparing cases for Employment Tribunal hearings, including advocacy where appropriate.
- Working closely with the firm’s HR Consultants to ensure coordinated and practical support for clients.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular engagement and advice.
- Supporting business development initiatives, networking activities, and marketing opportunities.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the Employment team and wider firm to deliver exceptional client service.
What We’re Looking For
✔ Qualified Solicitor with experience managing their own employment law caseload ✔ Strong technical knowledge of employment law and a commitment to delivering high-quality advice ✔ Experience working independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment ✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills ✔ Previous experience supervising or developing junior colleagues ✔ Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively ✔ High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving ✔ A genuine commitment to continued professional development ✔ Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
