About the Role

This position is responsible for leading Agile teams/projects independently. The Agile Project Manager facilitates our teams to reach our delivery, operations, and infrastructure project goals by consistently applying Servant Leadership and facilitation skills. Focused on learning and applying Project Management techniques and principles with the goal of being able to successfully coordinate several Agile Stable teams/projects. This role will partner with direct leaders and teams along with other members of the enterprise to ensure continued focus on the delivery of business value.

The ideal candidate will live within driving distance of the Omaha, Nebraska office. This position allows remote flexibility but will have 1 day per week in the office. If living in one of our approved states (Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Texas) – this person may travel to our headquarters.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate project/team planning and delivery activities, including but not limited to—backlog/scope definition and refinement, prioritization, planning, estimation, demos, retrospectives, and stand-ups.
  • Partner with management to remove impediments, resolve conflicts and issues that occur to ensure project and program velocity.
  • Monitor metrics defined by the leadership to measure, develop, and execute plans to improve maturity.
  • Develop detailed project execution plans; track project progress, budget, milestones, and quality; Effectively communicating to program and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Management to ensure they are aware of resource allocation needs and impact to project deliverables and overall project costs.
  • Adhere to project and quality-related processes in collaboration with fellow project managers and management.
  • Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas, and have the customer experience firmly as the focus.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience:
    • Associate Level: 1+ years of demonstrated experience managing multiple projects/executed in various methodologies/or phases.
    • Mid-Level: 3+ years of demonstrated experience managing multiple projects/executed in various methodologies/or phases.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated excellence in change management and coaching others.
    • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to build relationships at all levels of the enterprise including external vendors.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
  • The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

The strongest candidates will possess:

  • Certifications: Project Management (CAPM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
  • Prior Health insurance industry experience.
