About the Role
We are seeking an Associate AI Product Developer to design and deliver AI-powered products, workflows, and experiences in dynamic, data-rich financial environments. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for an AI-native early-career professional passionate about transforming cutting-edge AI capabilities into practical, user-centric solutions.
You will collaborate with product, engineering, data, governance, and AI teams to shape, prototype, and refine AI-driven offerings from initial concept to full-scale production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Development
- Design, build, and optimize AI-powered products, workflows, prototypes, and automation solutions.
- Translate business and user needs into actionable requirements, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
2. Implementation & Testing
- Configure, test, and refine AI behaviors in partnership with product and engineering teams.
- Evaluate AI outputs for quality, reliability, usefulness, and failure modes, including:
- Output variability and hallucinations
- Latency and performance trade-offs
- User trust gaps
3. Iteration & Improvement
- Identify edge cases, UX gaps, and trust concerns, establishing improvement priorities.
- Use testing results, user feedback, and performance metrics to continuously enhance AI capabilities post-launch.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Support product demonstrations of new AI capabilities and solutions.
- Partner with governance and risk teams to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and ethical standards.
5. Innovation & Knowledge Sharing
- Stay updated on emerging AI tools, models, and best practices.
- Share insights and standardise processes across the broader team.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in AI product development, applied AI, data products, product analytics, UX, or a related technical/technical-adjacent role.
- Hands-on experience building or enhancing AI systems, workflows, prototypes, automation, or AI platforms.
- Ability to breakdown complex problems into requirements, workflows, and testable user stories.
- Understanding of AI system behavior, including:
- Hallucinations
- Latency and quality trade-offs
- Trust and UX implications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in evaluating and improving AI outputs.
- User-centric mindset: Knowledge of behavior and UX principles applying to AI product design.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Clear communication skills to explain AI capabilities, product decisions, and trade-offs to all stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles (ethical AI, governance, fairness).
- Exposure to product analytics, APIs, automation tools, low-code/no-code platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Career Stage & Compensation
This role is positioned at the Senior Associate level to recognise the combination of foundational AI/native skills with intermediate product experience.

- Base salary range: $98,900 – $164,900 (adjustments may apply based on geographic location).
- Bonus eligibility: Participation in LSEG’s Annual Incentive Plan (commensurate with role level and performance).
- Competitive salary reflective of knowledge, skills, and equivalent experience.
