Morson Edge is recruiting Associate Aircraft Mechanics to support aircraft maintenance activities on the F-35 Lightning programme at RAF Marham.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the most advanced military aviation programmes in the world, working alongside experienced engineers within a highly skilled maintenance environment.
Whether your background is aircraft maintenance, aerospace manufacturing, structures, vehicle maintenance, defence engineering, or mechanical assembly, this role provides an opportunity to develop specialist aircraft maintenance skills while supporting a major operational fleet.

The Role
As an Associate Aircraft Mechanic, you will support aircraft maintenance and structural repair activities across the F-35 fleet, working within a regulated aviation environment where quality, safety, and attention to detail are critical.

The position focuses on aircraft structural maintenance, metalworking, corrosion remediation, and component repair activities, supporting aircraft availability and operational readiness.
You will work to approved technical documentation, maintenance procedures, and airworthiness requirements while contributing to a highly skilled engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Maintenance & Structural Repair
Carry out metalworking and corrosion remediation activities on aircraft structures and components Prepare metallic and composite aircraft structures for repair Perform drilling, reaming, and structural assembly activities Apply approved adhesive bonding techniques Remove and install aircraft fasteners and associated hardware Support aircraft maintenance and repair activities in accordance with approved technical documentation Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with risk assessments and company procedures Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records Identify and escalate technical issues where required
Quality & Compliance
Work in accordance with Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) requirements Apply Human Factors and Error Management principles Support Continuing Airworthiness Assurance activities Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship Ensure compliance with all engineering and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For
Experience
Experience using manual and pneumatic tooling Experience preparing metal and/or composite structures for repair Experience drilling, reaming, and carrying out precision assembly work Experience installing and removing mechanical fasteners Understanding of adhesive bonding techniques Experience working within aerospace, defence, manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance environments
Qualifications
Engineering Apprenticeship (Aeronautical, Mechanical, or equivalent) OR NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in a relevant engineering discipline OR Equivalent military or industry experience
