Associate Architect

Our client is a design-led, employee-owned architecture studio based in Central London, working across:

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Architect to:
- Lead and coordinate large-scale projects
- Guide multi-disciplinary teams from concept through delivery
This is a replacement hire within a stable pipeline, where you’ll typically:
- Oversee one major scheme or multiple smaller projects
- Ensure strong design direction, delivery quality and team coordination

Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects (£50m+) across RIBA Stages 0–7
- Direct and coordinate project teams and consultants
- Oversee design development and technical delivery
- Present confidently to clients and stakeholders
- Develop programmes, deliverables, and project strategy
- Ensure regulatory compliance and QA standards
- Mentor and delegate effectively within teams
Requirements
✅ Proven leadership of large-scale UK projects ✅ Strong design and technical capability ✅ Excellent communication and delegation skills ✅ Experience running projects end-to-end ✅ Revit proficiency (not specialist level) ✅ Organised, collaborative, and low-ego mindset ✅ Strong UK practice background essential
