Associate Director
We're working with a leading international architecture practice seeking an Associate Director to join their London studio. They are seeking an experienced Architect looking to step into a key leadership position, taking ownership of a major retail client account while leading the delivery of large-scale projects across the UK. The role combines project leadership, client management, team development, and digital delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and commercial aspects of practice.
The Role
- Manage a major retail client account and build long-term client relationships.
- Lead multidisciplinary projects through all RIBA stages.
- Take responsibility for project delivery, programmes, fees, profitability, and team performance.
- Oversee BIM-led project delivery and technical coordination.
- Work closely with the Digital Lead to improve workflows, automation, and AI-driven efficiencies.
- Manage and mentor architectural teams.
- Coordinate consultants and sub-consultants across complex projects.
- Contribute to studio growth, resource planning, and operational performance.

About You
- Qualified Architect with experience at senior or Associate level.
- Strong project-running and delivery experience.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Revit and BIM expertise.
- Experience managing teams and mentoring staff.
- Strong technical, organisational, and commercial awareness.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced delivery-focused environment.

Experience delivering big-box retail projects would be highly beneficial, but is not essential. We are also keen to speak with candidates from industrial, logistics, warehouse, data centre, commercial, or other large-scale project sectors.
Benefits
- £70,000 – £75,000 salary
- 29 days annual leave including Christmas shutdown
