Associate / Associate Director Transport Planner

Associate or Associate Director in Planning

Are you a dynamic and talented Planning professional looking to take the next step in your career?


The Role

Due to rapid expansion, Marrons is seeking an Associate or Associate Director to lead projects, grow the team, and support regional business strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead transport planning projects, collaborating with internal teams or clients
  • Review Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Feasibility Studies
  • Provide high-level strategic advice to clients at all project stages
  • Attend client meetings and public consultations
  • Contribute to business development initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members

Opportunities

  • Growth & influence – Shape the firm’s regional planning strategy
  • Multi-sector projects – Residential, commercial, energy, leisure, and Sustainability & Utilities Engagement (SUE) sites
  • Potential involvement in planning appeals if desired
  • Leader in a scaling team – Manage workload alongside mentorship

Key Duties

  • Transport Planning Leadership
  • Preparation & Review of Assessments (Transport, Travel Plans, Feasibility)
  • Client Consultation & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Business Development Collaboration
  • Team Mentorship & Growth Support

Essential Requirements

  • Proven expertise in transport planning
  • Strong technical/design and report-writing skills
  • Relevant degree in Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering
  • Experience with AutoCAD, TRIKS, Junctions, and LINSIG (desirable)

Desirable Qualities

  • Experience in planning appeals
  • Knowledge of urban design & masterplanning principles
