Role Overview

As an Associate Banker within the International Corporate Finance Insurance sector, you will support Relationship Directors in deepening client relationships, identifying, and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs. Your responsibilities will include creating and working towards a balanced commercial plan to grow existing portfolios and support the On-Boarding of new customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients.
  • Bridge the gap between the bank's offerings and clients' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success.

Accountabilities

  • Management of client relationships to identify clients' financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance.
  • Research and understanding of the client's industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment.
  • Design of customised solutions that address the client's specific needs and objectives.
  • Communication of the value proposition of proposed solutions and negotiation of beneficial terms.
  • Provision of guidance to clients to support their financial decisions and updates on market trends.
  • Assessment of financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships.
  • Documentation of all client interactions, transactions, and agreements.
  • Monitoring of client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics.

This role is located in London.

Regulatory Compliance

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

  • Maintain and continually build an understanding of how the own sub-function integrates with the function, alongside knowledge of the organisation's products, services, and processes within the function.
  • Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.
  • Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.
  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex/sensitive information.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside the team and external to the organisation.
