Job Description
Job title: Associate Broker Manager
Salary: up to £40k+ commission
Location: Remote in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, West Sussex or Surrey
This is a fantastic entry-level to mid-level growth role for an ambitious individual looking to build a long-term, successful career in asset finance and commercial brokerage.
As an Associate Broker Manager, you will work closely alongside senior leadership and experienced Sales Directors, receiving direct mentorship, full training, and hands-on guidance. Whether you already have foundational knowledge in asset finance or relevant transferable skills from commercial lending, sales, or account management, we will support your ongoing development to help you progress into a full Broker/Business Development Manager role.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting, Business Development & Cold Calling: Proactively support business development efforts through outbound cold-calling, lead generation, and prospect engagement activities with prospective clients, introducers, and dealer partners, learning how to identify opportunities, build relationships, generate new business, and develop a sustainable pipeline of asset finance opportunities.
- Deal Support & Execution: Take initial enquiries from dealers, clients, and introducers; prepare accurate quotes, process applications, and package proposals for funder submissions.
- Relationship & Pipeline Building: Support prospecting activities, engage decision-makers, and learn how to manage and convert an active pipeline of sales opportunities.
- Market Learning & Positioning: Develop deep product and market knowledge, gaining an understanding of competitor landscapes and unique selling propositions.
- Sales & Marketing Alignment: Assist senior management with targeted campaigns, dealer visits, customer follow-ups, and business development initiatives.
- Compliance & Standards: Participate in regular training to master regulatory compliance, conduct rules, and industry governance.

Working directly with the Sales Director and senior team, you will learn how to build customer relationships, manage introducer networks, structure asset finance deals, and close business opportunities effectively.

Requirements
- Prior Experience: Ideally some prior exposure or foundational experience in asset finance, commercial lending, banking, or brokerage (preferred, but training is provided).
- Core Aptitude: Highly motivated with a strong sales focus, business sense, and enthusiasm to achieve targets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Mindset: Well-organised, resilient, proactive, and excited to absorb knowledge from experienced industry leaders.
