The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Services professional who is passionate about leadership, developing people, delivering exceptional client service, and contributing to business growth.
As an Associate, you will be responsible for leading projects, managing client relationships, developing team capability, and supporting the strategic objectives of both the Building Services discipline and the wider business. You will act as a role model for Ridge's leadership values, helping to drive innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the team.

- Develop and coach team members, acting as a mentor and providing guidance to support their professional growth and career development.
- Delegate work appropriately to ensure high-quality outputs and effective project delivery.

- Lead the successful delivery of Building Services projects across a range of sectors.
- Take responsibility and accountability for managing multidisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
- Apply innovative thinking and effective problem-solving approaches, encouraging stakeholders to adopt a multidisciplinary perspective.
- Stay informed on changes in legislation, industry standards, technology, and market trends, proactively communicating key developments to colleagues and clients.
Client & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, setting clear expectations and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert technical and commercial guidance.
- Contribute to the discipline's business development strategy and actively support its implementation.
- Demonstrate success in winning work, developing new client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Continuously expand your professional network to maintain and build a pipeline of future opportunities, supporting colleagues to do the same.
- Develop strong internal relationships across the business, promoting collaboration and ensuring client satisfaction remains the primary focus.

Commercial Management
- Understand the risks associated with your discipline and the wider business and take proactive steps to minimize their impact.
- Provide informed commercial advice and support business decision-making.
- Manage project financial performance, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and within budget.
- Maintain a clear understanding of discipline KPIs and continually seek new ways of working to improve performance and efficiency.
- Understand Ridge's strategic priorities and ensure these are reflected in your personal and team objectives.
About You
- Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (or actively working towards Chartership).
- Significant consultancy experience within Building Services Engineering.
- Proven leadership and team development experience.
- Experience delivering and managing multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and financial management capabilities.
- A proactive approach to business development and networking.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and relationship-building skills.
