Role: Associate Business Analyst
We are seeking an Associate Business Analyst to support a Local Government client on a short-term transformation programme. The successful candidate will lead process discovery and mapping activities across a range of back-office functions, helping the client understand current ways of working and identify opportunities for improvement as part of a wider digital transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions across multiple business areas
- Produce Level 2 and Level 3 process maps covering end-to-end business processes
- Swimlane mapping - identifying: Activities, Decision points, Hand-offs, roles and responsibilities, system used
- Analyse current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Challenge existing assumptions and encourage best-practice ways of working
- Support wider digital transformation and systems implementation activities
- Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
- Utilise AI and process modelling tools to improve efficiency and output quality
Requirements
- Proven Business Analysis experience within business transformation or change programmes
- Strong end-to-end process mapping skills, including Level 2 and Level 3 process models and swimlane mapping
- Experience running process discovery activities independently
- Confident workshop facilitator, capable of managing large SME and stakeholder groups, challenging assumptions and keeping discussions on track
- Experience working within the Public Sector, ideally Local Government
- Experience across one or more back-office functions, including HR, Payroll, Finance or Procurement
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- Experience using Visio, Process Engage or similar process modelling tools
- Able to work independently with minimal direction

Benefits
- Day rate: £400-£475 per day (£53.33-£63.33 per hour)
- Determination: Outside IR35
