Associate Clinical Director – Veterinary Surgeon
A unique clinical leadership opportunity with a pathway towards Clinical Director
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a future Clinical Director role.
This is a unique opportunity to join the practice leadership team as Associate Clinical Director, working closely with the Clinical Director to support both the clinical direction and operational success of the practice.
The role sits directly beneath the Clinical Director and offers the opportunity to:
- Influence standards
- Support colleagues
- Help shape the future of the hospital
- Remain actively involved in clinical work and patient care
This is not a traditional management position—it is designed for a Vet who enjoys leading through knowledge, experience, and collaboration. The role does not include direct line management responsibilities or accountability for practice P&L.

The Opportunity
As Associate Clinical Director, you will:
- Report directly to the Clinical Director
- Support the clinical and operational running of the practice
- Act as a key member of the wider leadership team
- Help influence:
- Clinical standards
- Best practice across the hospital
- Support the development and progression of veterinary colleagues
- Mentor and coach less experienced Veterinary Surgeons
- Work closely with:
- Reception
- Client care
- Clinical teams to deliver an exceptional client experience
- Continue consulting and build strong relationships with:
- Clients
- Patients
You will play an important role in supporting:
- The team’s continued growth
- Maintaining the highest standards of clinical care

About You
- Be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong clinical background
- Enjoy working as a high-quality general practitioner
- Have excellent:

- Coaching and mentoring colleagues
- Be comfortable working collaboratively across the wider practice team
- Want to:
- Influence clinical standards
