Are you experienced in managing commercial real estate loans post close?
We're partnering exclusively with a leading real estate debt investment organisation seeking an Associate to join its London-based portfolio management team. This role sits at the heart of the post-origination process, overseeing a portfolio of performing CRE investment and development loans across the UK and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in loan servicing, loan agency, debt portfolio management or CRE loan asset management who enjoys working across complex transactions, borrower relationships and ongoing facility management.
The Role
Working closely with borrowers, lenders, facility agents and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of commercial real estate debt facilities throughout their lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of commercial real estate investment and development loans following financial close.
- Acting as a primary point of contact for borrowers, facility agents and lending counterparties.
- Monitoring compliance with loan agreements, including financial covenants, reporting requirements and key deliverables.
- Reviewing and analysing borrower requests, including waivers, consents, amendments and modifications.
- Performing detailed cashflow analysis and waterfall calculations to assess loan performance and borrower compliance.
- Coordinating major loan lifecycle events including drawdowns, repayments, restructurings and refinancings.
- Reviewing legal and finance documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with facility terms.
- Preparing recommendations and supporting materials for internal credit and investment committees.
- Working closely with legal, asset management and investment teams to protect lender interests throughout the life of each facility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
