Role description

The role will be responsible for the Project Management of the Commissioning process from the project’s commencement to its’ close out. 

Working with Stakeholders, General Contractors, Commissioning Agents and Architect/Engineering Consultants. The role will be to lead, coordinate, track and drive all these parties’ activities to deliver a well-managed and successful conclusion to the Commissioning Process. 

The scope of service will not be limited to just one project but will support multiple projects of various sizes and at different stages.

You can be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to Finland.

Role accountabilities:

include but not limited to 

 Design 

  • Review the design at key stages and make comment in connection with its suitability for commissioning 
  •  Attend design page turns at key stages 
  • Review the specification commissioning clauses and support in their drafting.

Procurement 

  • Review Tender Documents and Trade Packages prior to issue to ensure the scope of services/works being tendered are suitable to support the project’s commissioning requirements.
  • Review Fee Proposal and Trade Contractor’s Tender Returns prior to appointment to ensure the offers are compliant and satisfactorily supports the project’s commissioning requirements.

Meetings 

  • Attend Quality Kick Off Meeting 
  • Provide Leadership support for the site Quality Induction and observe/audit the delivery to ensure it is in alignment with client Requirements 
  • Attend daily startup meetings and chair daily/weekly commissioning meetings
  • Attend the weekly Quality Meeting 
  • progress meeting to report out on Commissioning Status.
  • As required, attend site MEP coordination meetings, pull planning meeting, first of kind meetings, preparatory meetings, design review meetings and any other project coordinator level meetings 

Reporting 

  • Generate a commissioning Dashboard that captures stats and data, metric assessment and other Quality/Commissioning weekly reports and significant quality/commissioning events. 
  • Provide data in connection with commission progress for the Monthly DC Stat Report 
  • Help transfer lessons learned information from site team to site team

Qualifications & Experience:

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You pride yourself for the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are a technically capable and come to us with:

  • An in-depth understanding of large-scale technical projects and construction techniques. 
  • Ability to manage technical disciplines.
  • Experience working on Data Centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably on hyperscale builds, would be advantageous 
  • Ability to commit to significant international travel
