Associate Commodity Manager
Associate Commodity Manager – Civils & Installations
Full-time, 12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Poole, GB, BH17 7ER
About the Role
At Yunex Traffic, we empower cities to move into the future with intelligent infrastructure and transport solutions. As an ** Associate Commodity Manager – Civils & Installations**, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Civils & Installations Commodity Manager by delivering commercial, procurement, and supply chain excellence across civils construction and installation services.
This 12-month fixed-term role is ideal if you have experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial management within construction, highways, or infrastructure and want to develop your expertise in commodity and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Civils & Installations Commodity Manager in implementing commodity strategies for civils construction, installation services, and associated subcontracted works
- Assist in sourcing, onboarding, and managing civils and installation contractors, aligning with framework and project needs
- Support the negotiation and oversight of framework agreements and subcontractor contracts, ensuring compliance with commercial and governance standards
- Participate in tendering and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, including:
- Data gathering
- Bid evaluation
- Commercial assessment
- Provide supplier insights on cost, lead-time, and capacity to internal stakeholders for project planning and bidding support
- Monitor supplier performance (cost, delivery, safety, quality) and escalate risks or issues proactively
- Support cost control, pricing updates, and commercial reporting across civils and installations portfolios
- Track market trends, labour availability, and cost drivers impacting civils and installation services
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, including Delivery, Engineering, HSQE, and Finance

Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, commercial management, or subcontract management within construction, highways, or infrastructure
- Familiarity with civils works and installation services, including:
- Traffic signal installations
- Ducting & drainage systems
- Foundations & structural works
- Reinstatement & roadside works (Desirable)
- Understanding of subcontractor sourcing, framework agreements, and supplier performance management
- Strong analytical, organisational skills with attention to detail
- Energetic communicator able to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and external suppliers
- Knowledge of UK highways frameworks, NEC contracts, or civils procurement environments (Desirable)
