Responsibilities
As an Associate – Debt Capital Markets, you will be part of the team responsible for raising and maintaining capital to fund Together’s mortgage loan book. As a non-bank lender, funding is sourced through financial instruments, including High-Yield Bonds, Revolving Credit Facilities, and Securitisations.
The role requires you to:
- Support the DCM Directors in raising and refinancing both existing and new funding vehicles, focusing on data production and validation, as well as deal administration
- Take responsibility for the production and oversight of Bank of England data tapes, performance data, and informational materials for meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate within a dynamic team, managing multiple priorities while delivering time-sensitive tasks and projects for the wider business
- Assist in input and review of the legal documentation that underpins the funding vehicles, working closely with internal and external lawyers
- Ensure operational aspects of financing activities are understood within Treasury and the wider business, and provide assistance with implementation and oversight as needed
- Build and nurture long-term, trusted relationships with a network of colleagues and external partners
- Develop expertise in complex areas of finance and Capital Markets through hands-on learning and formal qualifications where applicable
- Prepare materials and agendas for meetings with internal stakeholders, external investors, rating agencies, and investment banks

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:
- Experience in a mortgage market setting (preferred, though securitisation experience would also be considered)
- Qualified or Part Qualified in a professional qualification (preferred, but not essential—supported as the role progresses)
- A proactive attitude, inquisitive mind, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple competing priorities that may change quickly
- Keen eye for detail and ability to identify and address potential issues early
- Desire to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders (often senior-level influence)
- Explain complex concepts simply to non-subject matter experts
- Enjoys working in detail but can step back to assess the big picture and ask, “So what?
