The Role

As an Associate in Debt Capital Markets (DCM), you’ll join the team responsible for raising and maintaining capital to fund Together’s mortgage loan book. As non-bank lenders, Together’s loan book is financed not only by bank deposits but via a diverse mix of instruments, including:

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the DCM Directors in raising and refinancing both existing and new funding vehicles, with emphasis on:
    • Data production and validation
    • Deal administration
  • Oversee or produce Bank of England data tapes, performance reports, and informational materials for internal/external stakeholder meetings
  • Collaborate within a fast-moving team, managing multiple competing priorities to deliver urgent tasks and projects for the benefit of the wider business
  • Contribute to and review legal documentation (e.g., negotiations with internal/external lawyers)
  • Ensure operational understanding of financing activities across Treasury and wider business, implementing where necessary
  • Build long-term relationships with colleagues, investors, rating agencies, banks, and external partners
  • Develop expertise in complex finance and capital markets through on-the-job learning and external qualifications as needed
  • Prepare materials and agendas for high-level meetings (internal stakeholders, investors, banks, etc.)

Essential

Experience is preferred in:

  • The mortgage market, or relevant securitisation sectors

A professional qualification (if possible) would enhance your candidacy, though:

  • Part-qualified candidates are considered
  • Alternative qualifications (e.g., CAIA, CII) may align with the role’s progression needs

Must demonstrate:

  • A can-do attitude with strong work ethic and curiosity
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling adaptable priorities
  • Keen attention to detail to resolve issues proactively
  • Relational skills to build trust with senior stakeholders
  • Capacity to clarify complex topics for non-specialist audiences
  • Strength to navigate detail and see the bigger picture
