Job Opportunity: Seniorbridge and Structures Engineer (Leadership Position) – Jacobs

About the Role
This key leadership position within our Bridges and Structures team allows you to drive transformation towards delivering design solutions fusion. By leveraging new technologies, digital processes, and lean methodologies, you’ll enhance efficiency, operational efficacy and collaborative outcomes within Jacobs’ global engineering practice.
We specialise in delivering technically complex infrastructural projects with socially conscious and decarbonised methods—balancing technical excellence, sustainability prowess and project resilience across:
- Transportation (highways, railways, aviation)
- Energy (construction)
- Power and assets management
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor teams to execute structural analysis, feasibility, tendering, detailed design work and ensure cohesive production of contract documentation, technical reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-disciplinary to provide integrated technical services and ensure outstanding outcomes.
- Champion innovative, automated, and data-driven solutions, demystifying complex challenges and boosting productivity, cost-efficiency, and rapid project execution.
- Coordinate globally to optimise human, technical, and financial resources, synergising skills across UK and integrative delivery teams.

Requirements
criteria qualification skills:
*Essential:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or a closely related subject.
- Professional qualification (e.g., MICE, CEng, IStructE).
- Proven track record in leadership, mentoring, and technical documentation.
- Structured multitudes of transport, energy, power schemes—structural experience (especially bridges, railways).
*Preferred:
- Construction sector experience in asset management or specialised skills around post-tensioned structures (requiring knowledge of PTSI).
- Aspiration for Transformational-Driven client service.
