Senior Structural Engineer – Bridges and Structures

About Your Impact
As a key member of our Bridges and Structures team, you’ll drive our transformation into a solutions-focused engineering provider, leveraging:
- New technologies and modernised workflows
- Digital processes and lean methodologies
- Data-driven, automated, and standardised solutions
Your role will focus on sustainability, decarbonisation, and operational efficiency, delivering high-value structural engineering solutions across:
- Highways
- Rail
- Aviation
- Energy
- Power sectors
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership in structural analysis and design:
- Deliver feasibility studies, tender submissions, and detailed designs
- Oversee contract documentation, technical reports, and project-specific strategies
- Team management and mentoring:
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Ensure integrated, high-quality outcomes for clients
- Innovation and efficiency:
- Apply automated techniques and standardised processes to improve productivity
- Implement data-driven solutions that enhance project performance
- Global coordination:
- Work closely with UK and Global Integrated Delivery Teams
- Optimise resources and ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery

About Our Capability
Our Transportation Business prides itself on delivering technically complex infrastructure projects nationwide and internationally. You’ll collaborate on high-profile projects, including those for:
- High Speed 2 (HS2)
- National Highways
- Network Rail
- Welsh Government
- Local Authorities
Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
- A professional engineering qualification
- Project management and leadership experience, ideally in bridge design (open to other disciplines)
Key skills:
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management
- Strong technical design and practical problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work with asset management, structures renewals, and post-tensioned systems (Including experience with Post-Tensioned Special Inspections (PTSI)—highly desirable)
