Role: Associate Director, Enterprise Risk & Operations Intelligence (Corporate Security, Optum – Republic of Ireland / Hybrid)
The Associate Director, Enterprise Risk & Operations Intelligence is an enterprise-level leader responsible for:
- Developing and overseeing the enterprise risk intelligence function across people, operations, and assets.
- Leading broad-scale risk analyses, including:
- Activism and civil disruptions
- Regional risk conditions
- Site-level threats
- Setting intelligence requirements, standards, frameworks, and processes for enterprise-wide consistency.
- Aligning intelligence outputs with enterprise decision-making to ensure they are scalable, defensible, and actionable.
This role integrates closely with Protective Intelligence, providing enterprise-level insights to inform executive and employee safety policies.

- Our Dublin or Letterkenny offices paired with a hybrid work model (in-office + telecommuting).

Unified Intelligence Lifecycle Management
- Define collection, analysis, validation, and dissemination processes.
- Create enterprise intelligence standards, including:
- Product formats
- Confidence assessments
- Sourcing expectations
- Rigorous analytical rigor.

Assurance & Quality Assurance
- Establish quality control mechanisms to ensure intelligence is accurate, consistent, and actionable.

Long-term Strategic Oversight
- Lead geopolitical, regional, and social movement threat analyses.
- Maintain awareness of civil disruptions and stability risks.

Governance & Accountability
- Develop and enforce an enterprise risk intelligence governance framework, defining:
- Decision rights
- Accountability structures

- Oversight of rapid turn SITREPs and real-time executive alerts.

- Establish an enterprise intelligence maturity strategy, addressing capability gaps.

- Align intelligence with Protective Intelligence, Crisis Management, and Security Operations.

1. Experience & Expertise
- 10+ years of intelligence analysis, executive risk management, or comparable roles across:
- Private/public/_global sectors.
- Unscored ability to operate in highly matrixed, global organizations.
2. Strategic & Governance Acumen
- Proven enterprise governance leadership beyond basic team or program levels.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level risk frameworks.
3. Communication & Influence

Strong written and verbal communication skills for senior leadership briefings.

Ability to deliver thoughtful, action-oriented intelligence across formats.

Discretion & Integrity: Confidential information is non-negotiable.
4. Tool Proficiency
- Experience with:
- Intelligence data platforms.
- Threat assessment methodologies.
- Protective security technologies.
