Associate Director – Data Centre

About the Role

As an Associate Director at Linesight, you’ll lead a team of highly experienced, diverse, and passionate professionals who thrive on collaboration and shared success. The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage multiple teams and accounts across the business
  • Serve as the key account manager for Linesight’s data centre team, cultivating partnership-based client relationships rooted in trust
  • Apply your business development skills to secure new clients and repeat projects with existing ones
  • Oversee strategic client projects, ensuring they align with both commercial goals and performance metrics
  • Leverage your cost management expertise to deliver all contract objectives within budget and contractual obligations
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements and contract terms with third parties
  • Mentor and lead high-performing teams, fostering continuous growth and excellence
  • Drive a culture of impactful outcomes, delivering top-tier quality and client value

Requirements

We’re looking for a candidate who:

  • Demonstrates strong operational management, with experience in dynamic environments
  • Can apply structured pre- and post-contract cost management specific to data centres (essential)
  • Offers 10+ years in construction, with prior cost management expertise in the data centre sector
  • Has the confidence to take the lead in client meetings and negotiations
  • Possesses either a degree in a relevant field, such as cost management or quantity surveying, or comparable experience
  • Ideally is chartered with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)—previous membership is appreciated
  • Communicates clearly and persuasively both verbally and in writing
  • Thrives on building purpose-driven relationships, nurturing collaboration between teams and clients
