About The Role

The Associate Director – Disability & Student Support provides strategic and operational leadership for the University’s professional disability services, ensuring high-quality, legally compliant, and inclusive support for disabled students and those with long-term conditions. The role holds institutional accountability for the delivery, assurance, and continuous improvement of reasonable adjustments, championing inclusive practice and driving forward the University’s disability and inclusion strategy.

It brings together specialist teams covering disability advisory services, neurodiversity, sensory and physical impairments, long-term health conditions, mental health related disabilities, study skills support and student funding, including oversight of Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). The function works closely with academic departments, wellbeing and counselling colleagues, and external partners to resolve complex disability related cases, support inclusive practices, and shape institutional policy. Led by the Associate Director – Disability & Student Support, and supported by the Service Lead for Disability Services, the Deputy Lead for Disability Services, the Student Funding Support Service Lead and a PA/Administrator, the team drives continuous improvement, innovation and evidence-based practice to create an accessible and equitable student experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
