About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Associate Director to join our Cambridge team. Our Cambridge office strengthens our local project presence, supporting expertise in complex engineering sectors, including Science & Research and Healthcare.

As Associate Director, you will be responsible for owning multiple complex activities, including:
- Leading large-scale, complex projects while aligning with stakeholders, reporting metrics, and motivating teams
- Exploring more efficient working methods for greater operational value
- Securing new business and nurturing strong client relationships
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and professionals to create future opportunities
- Contribute to bid preparation
- Lead large-scale schemes, coordinating all disciplines and acting as the primary client contact
- Ensure profitable scheme delivery at all times
- Represent all disciplines of Hoare Lea in project meetings
- Develop and mentor high-performing local teams, including interview involvement
- Delegate, manage, and supervise work carried out by others
- Monitor project expenditure and provide updates to senior management
- Report cost and resource requirements to the management team regularly

About You
This role requires the following skills and qualities:
- Ability to resolve challenging situations non-adversarially
- Chartered status in industry alongside qualified recognition
- Strong technical electrical engineering knowledge, with a broad understanding of other disciplines
- Proficiency in relevant IT packages (technical expertise required)
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English
- Exceptional organisational and planning abilities to meet tight deadlines
- Proactive leadership, mentorship, and team motivation
- Strategic client relationship-building with aim of future business growth
