There has never been a more exciting time to join RSM’s digitally led Forensic practice. As this area continues to grow, we are seeking an Associate Director to oversee, develop, and deliver a portfolio of disputes and Expert Witness assignments, while supporting the continued expansion of this ambitious team.
Our Forensic team provides specialist support across contentious matters, blending technical expertise with commercial insight. This role offers leadership across a range of high-impact areas, including:
- Quantum and damages analysis
- Valuations
- SPA disputes
- Business interruption and warranty claims
- Litigation and mediation advisory support
Responsibilities
As Associate Director within the Disputes team, your key responsibilities include:
- Leading a client portfolio and managing disputes and expert accounting assignments from start to finish.
- Overseeing client deliverables, ensuring high-quality output while managing risks, deadlines, budgets, and performance.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, instructing lawyers, and senior stakeholders—representing RSM at client meetings and updates.
- Driving business development through proposals, tender responses, networking, and nurturing new opportunities.
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering effective team planning and resource utilisation.

Requirements & Skills
We seek a highly motivated, professionally qualified accountant with:
- Direct experience in disputes or Expert Witness roles, coupled with a clear ambition to grow within a digitally led forensic practice.
- Strong technical capability, with proactive commercial awareness.
- Ability to lead complex, high-quality client work while managing relationships and developing teams.
- Exceptional organisational skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent written communication for producing clear, actionable reports.
