About the Role: Associate Director, Investigations (Forensic Practice)
There has never been a more exciting time to join RSM UK’s digitally led Forensic practice. As this area continues to grow, we are seeking an Associate Director to help lead, develop, and deliver complex investigations across a diverse portfolio of clients while supporting the expansion and growth of our ambitious team.
Responsibilities
You’ll play a crucial role in both forensic investigations and business development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engagements, while nurturing talent within our team.
Key Duties:
- Lead investigations across a wide range of matters, including:
- Fraud and misconduct investigations
- Financial irregularities and regulatory enquiries
- Plan, manage, and deliver engagements from inception to conclusion:
- Define scope and methodology
- Manage risk, timelines, and budgets
- Oversee engagement quality and performance metrics
- Build strong client relationships and stakeholder trust:
- Provide clear progress updates
- Manage escalations and expectations
- Present complex findings sensitively
- Drive business development:
- Engage in proposals, tenders, and networking
- Identify opportunities to expand forensic services
- Develop team members:
- Coach junior associates
- Support resource allocation
- Facilitate knowledge sharing

Requirements
As an Associate Director in Investigations, you will bring a wealth of forensic and investigative experience, a strong client-centric approach, and the ability to lead with strategic impact.
Core Criteria:
- Significant experience leading forensic investigations, covering:
- Fraud, misconduct, financial crime, or regulatory enquiries
- A professional qualification (e.g., ACA or equivalent) and/or extensive investigative experience
- Certifications such as CFE are highly regarded!
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for:
- Assessing complex information
- Making informed judgments
- Preparing rigorous, professional reports
- Commercial and operational savvy:
- Ensure stress-free delivery within considerations
- Effective at managing a diverse portfolio of client work
- Strong leadership and people skills:
- Support junior professionals in their development
- Foster teamwork and encourage knowledge exchange
