A rare opportunity has arisen for a senior Financial Services Regulation lawyer to join the London office of a highly regarded international law firm with a market leading financial institutions practice.
The role will involve advising a broad range of financial institutions, asset managers, wealth managers, banks and fintech businesses on complex UK financial services regulatory matters. The work includes advising on regulated perimeter issues, FCA and PRA authorisations, Consumer Duty, MiFID II, SMCR, UK AIFMD, CASS, MIFIDPRU and wider regulatory change projects. The team regularly supports clients on high value strategic transactions, business launches, restructurings and regulatory aspects of corporate acquisitions.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and well established team, working closely with specialists across corporate, banking, commercial and employment on complex, cross practice matters for a high quality client base.

The ideal candidate will be a high performing Senior Associate from a leading City, international or specialist financial services practice with strong technical financial services regulatory experience. Experience advising asset managers, alternative investment fund managers or other regulated financial institutions will be advantageous, although candidates with broader regulatory expertise will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected team offering sophisticated work, genuine responsibility and strong long term career progression.
