We are currently seeking an individual to join the team as Associate Director Global Delivery and People Lead - Secondment until December 2026.

The Global Sustainability Associate Director, Global Delivery and People Strategy Lead will play a key role in providing support to the COO, the CoS and GCSO in the function for people related activities within the CoE.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Global Sustainability people strategy
    • Deliver the end-to-end people strategy for the function, partnering closely with HR, Talent, Learning, and Reward to keep it relevant as priorities evolve
  • Support the delivery of a workforce plan and alignment to Finance resourcing governance
    • Have a deep understanding of the resourcing demand plan, oversee hiring and proactively escalate capacity, capability, or delivery risks
  • Support engagement, culture, and colleague voice
    • Execute the employee engagement agenda (including people forum/feedback loops), translate insights into action, and strengthen attraction, retention, recognition, and development
  • Own capability building and learning (COE upskilling)
    • Continue to build a modern learning culture and delivery plan (e.g., Sustainability Academy / digital learning like Degreed and Talent Marketplace), aligned to future capability needs and mentorship
  • Support talent, succession, and organisational design outcomes
    • Maintain and challenge organisational design to keep it simple and effective; support succession planning, leadership development, talent pipelines, and key lifecycle moments
  • Provide operational leadership and programme execution support
    • Ensure programmes supporting Global Sustainability strategic actions are executed, including management information, performance analytics, and disciplined programme management
  • Lead Engagement
    • Own strategic communications and engagement cadence, including planning and delivering Townhalls and ongoing colleague communications; ensure two-way dialogue, clear actions and visible progress against priorities

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the Global Sustainability function
  • Experience of delivering new initiatives and driving change within a complex global corporation, ideally within financial services/banking
  • Proven ability in successfully designing and implementing large-scale, complex global sustainability and/or people initiatives
  • Demonstrated visible, tangible and sustained contribution to the delivery hub and people strategy
  • Proven leadership and relationship management skills in dealing with all levels across the organisation, with the confidence to interact with senior management and make measured decisions which may have far reaching implications
  • Understanding various operating models, such as operational strategy, governance, process, technology, organizational design and financial performance
  • Project management knowledge and practical experience
  • Experience of working in a large, complex, international and highly matrixed business environment operating across cultures
