Job Description
The Team
KPMG is part of a global network of firms that through 16,000 colleagues brings creativity and insight to meeting our clients’ most critical challenges. With offices across the UK, we work with everyone from enterprises to national government bodies and major multinationals, in virtually every industry imaginable. Our work is often complex, yet our vision is simple: to be the clear choice for our clients, for our people and for the communities we work in.
KPMG UK’s Infrastructure Government and Healthcare business is widely recognised as a leading financial and commercial adviser across the public sector. This advice, amongst other things, ranges from major system design, economic case making, cost and value work, transaction support, design of efficient operational process and technology enablement. Our purpose is to support the projects that improve the fabric of our nation, and other nations around the world trying to improve the economic functioning and social wellbeing of their society.
Our healthcare advisory business is a critical plank in that. Healthcare is undergoing rapid change. The needs of an ageing population are becoming more complex, treatments more administratively complex, and technology adoption critical to its effective implementation. Our team advises across that – we are amongst the market leaders in service transformation, capital project delivery and technology implementation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
