Associate Director, International Tax
An Associate Director, International Tax is sought by a leading professional services firm in London. Joining a highly regarded corporate tax team, this opportunity offers exposure to complex UK and international tax matters for large corporate and multinational groups, working alongside specialists from across a range of tax disciplines. With a strong pipeline of advisory projects and a clear pathway for progression, this role provides an excellent platform for an experienced tax professional looking to further develop their career in a collaborative and ambitious environment.
The Role
- Act as a key adviser to a portfolio of large corporate groups, providing practical tax advice on a range of UK and international matters
- Lead the delivery of technically complex tax projects, coordinating with clients and internal specialists as required
- Collaborate with colleagues across a variety of tax disciplines to provide joined-up solutions to clients' commercial objectives
- Support businesses through acquisitions, restructurings and other significant corporate transactions
- Assist clients with international expansion, operating model considerations and cross-border tax challenges
- Manage interactions with HMRC in relation to technical queries, clearances and ongoing discussions
- Review and oversee corporation tax compliance, reporting and tax accounting work where applicable
- Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, providing commercially focused advice and guidance
- Coach and support junior members of the team, helping to foster their technical and professional development

About You
- ACA, CTA or equivalent qualified with strong corporate tax experience
- Well-developed knowledge of UK corporation tax, with exposure to international tax issues and concepts
- Experience working with large businesses and corporate groups, or a strong desire to move into this space
- Able to translate technical tax matters into practical, commercially focused recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage with senior client contacts
- Comfortable leading multiple projects and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative approach, combined with the ability to take ownership of client work and drive projects forward independently
- Previous involvement in international projects, multinational groups or cross-border tax matters would be beneficial
